PROBLEM

7 - 11 has several pricing analysts who's jobs are to review pricing data collectively. These pricing analyts need accurate and complete data to determine the pricing strategy for thousands of items in the stores. These pricing analysts must consult several excel sheets, and internal fragmented systems which do not give the analysts a clear picture into what the pricing should be for store items. 

Key Drivers

Making sure that our users could easily access the data they need to make pricing decisions 

Many of theses pricing analyts end up spending way too much time doing ansillary tasks and have time consuming work flows to get their jobs done. Becuase of this they are not able to focus on delivering value to the customers.

WHAT DOES THE CURRENT PRICING LANDSCAPE LOOK LIKE?

I wanted to get a clear picture of the pain points and challenges that pricing analysts endure on a day - to - day basis, in their own words. I lead and conducting research and design jam for 15 of the internal pricing analysts.

I lead a design workshop with 14 other associates to gather and better understand painpoints in the existing journey of a pricing analyst. We came away from this workshop with a much greater empathy for the users and internal employees.

Synthesis Key Takeaways

Users find themselves spending way too much time collecting informaton scattered about to make accurate pricing changes. A new centralized dashboard is needed for the user to swiftly and accurately do their jobs.
